Chasing a big dream, or courage to step into the unknown.

Psychology
Astronaut dreams reflect a wish to leave familiar ground for the unknown, and a longing for big goals. Yet weightless drifting can also mirror a lack of footing or isolation. Elation at lift-off versus loneliness in space splits the meaning.
Folklore and history
People have long projected stories onto the stars; Japan tells of lovers parted by the Milky Way who meet once a year at Tanabata, and Princess Kaguya returns to the moon. Since humans reached space in the 20th century, it became a place of challenge. Going to space means a great leap ahead.
Exploring a ruin or mountain haunted spot often means bringing home mud- or water-stained boots, rain gear, or used wet wipes. A foldable, highly waterproof EVA bucket lets you bundle all the dirty items together, then rinse it out and fold it flat afterward.

This site's view
In this site's view, ask whether you could see Earth. A blue planet in the window means your heart remembers home however far you go. Only black space means you fear the loneliness waiting beyond your ambition. A lost radio link may point to neglected contact with those close to you.
Going deeper: our reading
Astronauts spend far longer training than in space. After selection come long years of preparation, and after returning, a period of readjusting a body weakened by weightlessness to gravity. Going and coming back is all one long journey. In this site's reading, dreaming only of training suggests you are preparing for a big goal while uneasy about not knowing when the real moment will come. A launch cancelled at the last second points to anxiety that a long-awaited chance will be postponed. Sharing a meal with crewmates aboard a spacecraft shows reassurance that someone is with you even far away. This is our speculation, but returning to Earth to find your legs would not work may reflect confusion about going back to ordinary life after a big challenge. The dream says the strength to come home matters as much as the courage to leave.
What to do on waking
