Psychology
With wings wider than a person is tall, the condor stands for the big picture — a wish to rise above small problems. If being watched from above scared you, it may reflect tension about being judged.
Folklore and history
The Andean condor is a national symbol in several South American countries and has long been tied to the sky. Riding thermals for great distances with barely a wingbeat, it has inspired awe and longing.

This site's view
In this site's view, the condor teaches flying without flapping: it waits for rising air. You may need to read the current rather than push harder. A condor on the ground says it is still time to wait for the wind.
Going deeper: our reading
The California condor once fell to a tiny number in the wild, and in 1987 every remaining wild bird was captured for protection. After a time with no wild condors at all, birds bred in human care were released again, and the species has slowly recovered. In this site's reading, a condor dream can reflect not only big ambitions but a cycle of coming down to the ground, rebuilding and flying again. A condor resting inside an enclosure suggests that, even if you cannot fly as you wish, this is preparation for returning to the sky. Being released and soaring suggests that after long recovery, the time to return where you belong is near. Someone in gloves caring for the bird may show you sense a quiet supporter. This is our speculation, but grounded times are part of flying too.
What to do on waking
Look up at the sky once today and watch the clouds and wind for a minute. Then write a one-line note to yourself a year from now.

Haunted-spot exploration tends to mean a lot of gear — flashlight, camera, bear bell, work gloves, insect repellent — and this tote's water-repellent paraffin canvas and large capacity, plus grommets for cinching the top shut, make it easy to carry your whole kit from car to site in one trip. Its box-like, self-standing shape also keeps the contents from tipping over in the car.
