○ A mirror of the mind Read less as luck and more as a mirror of how you are now
A doll that seems alive: feelings you left behind, or the weight of someone's resentment.

Psychology
A human-shaped thing moving on its own suggests emotions slipping out of control. Dolls often stand for your younger self or a cherished stand-in, so being watched by one may mean forgotten memories or guilt are waking.
Folklore and history
Japan has long felt that human-shaped things can hold a soul, and temples and shrines hold memorial rites for old dolls. Tales of dolls whose hair grows or that move at night abound. Dream lore reads a calm face as protection, a frightening one as a warning about resentment.
Being able to grab a flashlight or phone instantly matters when exploring a ruin or mountain trail. A 2-way waist bag you can also wear across the body frees both hands, making it easier to move and film in tight spaces.

This site's view
In this site's view, the cursed doll is the loneliness of something no longer cherished. A crying doll means a hobby or bond you left behind is calling. If it came back after you discarded it, closure needs a proper ritual. Note its clothing and who gave it to you.
Going deeper: our reading
Most dolls are gifts from one person to another. Like the festival dolls grandparents prepare in the hope that a grandchild will grow up healthy, dolls carry the feelings of the giver. In this site's reading, the grudge in a cursed-doll dream is usually not malice but a feeling you never fully received. Recall where the doll was kept. Deep in a closet or storeroom, it suggests expectations or promises you packed away are starting to nag at you. In a child's room, your younger self is trying to tell you something. Near an entrance or window, facing outward, your ties with family or the world outside may be weighing on you. This is our speculation, but if the doll's face resembled someone you know, gratitude or regret toward that person remains unspoken. Look for the nostalgia beneath the fear.
What to do on waking
Pick up one stored keepsake and decide to keep it or let it go with thanks. Photograph it first if unsure.
