○ A mirror of the mind Read less as luck and more as a mirror of how you are now
Writing or receiving a will: sorting out regrets and what you truly wish to say. Not an omen.

Psychology
A will dream is not an omen of death but the mind sorting out what has been left unsaid. Writing one means reviewing priorities; reading someone else's means re-examining what they gave you. A pen that will not move suggests there is someone to tell, but fear of the words wins for now.
Folklore and history
In Japan, samurai and poets left death poems, and last words carried special weight. The Analects record Zengzi saying that the words of a dying man are good; last words were thought to be free of pretense. Dream readers treat a will dream as a lucky sign of ending an old self and being reborn.

This site's view
In this site's view, whether the words could be read matters. Readable words are an answer your mind prepared; blank or smeared pages mean the message is not settled yet. Many ghost stories are about the dead trying to deliver one unspoken word; a dream will may be urging you to say yours while you can.
Going deeper: our reading
A will brings legal documents to mind, but in recent years ending notes have also become widely known: notebooks recording not only property but favourite music, feelings for family, and friends to contact. In this site's reading, the form of the document in your dream shows what your heart wants to sort out. A formal paper suggests a wish to hand responsibilities and promises to someone. A handwritten notebook or letter points to gratitude and memories you have never put into words. Notice who was reading it. Family reading quietly suggests confidence your message will arrive. A stranger reading it may mean you cannot show your true feelings to those closest to you. This is our speculation, but rewriting your own will in a dream means you are reordering your priorities right now. Each rewrite makes clearer what you want to leave behind.
What to do on waking
Write one person and one sentence you would say if today were your last. If it is not too heavy, find a way to say it today.
