Psychology
Power spot dreams tend to come when body and mind crave rest. Time in nature is widely reported to ease stress, and the dream may be granting in advance the rest you have not yet taken.
Folklore and history
"Power spot" is a Japanese coinage and fairly recent, but reverence for great rocks, waterfalls, trees and mountains as dwellings of the gods is ancient. Visit such places as sites of prayer, not just sights.

This site's view
In this site's view, the kind of place shows what you lack: water for emotional release, mountains or rocks for firm footing, forests for belonging. Whether you went alone or with someone shows if you need company or solitude to recover.
Going deeper: our reading
People visiting places called power spots often say the air felt clear, sounds grew hushed, and they naturally began to breathe deeply. Many such places are surrounded by great trees, flowing water or mossy rocks, keeping a quiet untouched by too much human work. Some sense the accumulated prayers of the generations who joined hands there. When visiting, remember that these are places of faith still cherished by local people, and show quiet respect. In this site's reading, people who dream of power spots often long to recover their own breathing rhythm amid daily noise. This is our speculation, but climbing a long approach path or mountain trail reflects a wish to settle your heart step by step, even without quick answers. Watching someone pray there suggests growing respect and empathy for those who have been sustained by prayer.
What to do on waking
