Psychology
Taxidermy freezes a living form in time. It may mirror a wish to keep a relationship or self exactly as it was, resisting change. Unease under glass eyes suggests feeling watched by something you have kept frozen.
Folklore and history
Taxidermy has served as hunting trophies and museum specimens. Yet stories of glass eyes that follow you, or mounts that move at night, are staples of ghost tales in old mansions and schools — perhaps reflecting mixed feelings about keeping only life's shape.
Haunted-spot exploration drains a phone fast between filming, recording, checking maps, and using it as a flashlight, and running out of battery in the dark on site is a serious problem. This power bank has a built-in cable so you can't forget one, plus a display that shows the remaining charge at a glance.

This site's view
In this site's view, it asks what keeps its shape but has lost its life — relationships or habits hollow inside. If it moved, feelings you thought stilled are alive; if dusty, that past can be put away.
Going deeper: our reading
Taxidermy is made by carefully treating an animal's skin and fitting it over a body form built from other materials. The outside looks as it did in life, but what lies within is no longer the same. Museum specimens let us see animals we will never meet, and some grieving owners wish to keep a beloved dog or cat this way. In this site's reading, the kind of animal decides the dream. A mounted bird reflects freedom held still when you long to fly. A pet you once had suggests grief not yet accepted, holding on by keeping its shape. Gazing at an unfamiliar specimen in a museum shows curiosity about distant worlds or a wish to learn again. This is our speculation, but finding yourself mounted on display may mirror exhaustion from keeping the shape others expect, until your true self can no longer move.
What to do on waking
Review one habit you keep only in form, and decide to continue or stop. Dusting ornaments is a small step to refresh the mood.
