○ A mirror of the mind Read less as luck and more as a mirror of how you are now
A cat with wings: longing for freedom and to go beyond your limits; flying freely means a leap ahead.
Category: World mythology (how to read this category)
Psychology
A free-roaming cat given wings suggests present freedom is not enough and you want to go farther. If the cat is your own nature and the wings ambition, it is an honest wish to rise without giving up your own pace.
Folklore and history
Winged beasts fill the world's myths, from the eagle-winged griffin to the winged sphinx; uniting earth and sky, they were guardians and symbols of mystery. The winged cat itself belongs less to old tradition than to modern fantasy and art.

This site's view
In this site's view, the meaning turns on whether the cat wanted to fly. Soaring on its own means your free side is ready. Walking despite its wings shows potential you hesitate to use. Heavy wings may be others' expectations that are really baggage, not feathers.
Going deeper: our reading
Cats love high places and often survey a room from the top of a shelf or refrigerator. They are also known for twisting in mid-air to land on their feet after a fall, an agility that has long impressed people. In this site's reading, notice whether the winged cat was taking off or coming down. Taking off suggests a growing wish to go beyond where you are now into a new world. Floating gently down shows the stability to return to everyday life even while chasing high ideals or distant dreams. Having wings yet fearing to fly means the potential is there, but fear of failure keeps you from taking the first step. This is our speculation, but people who are usually cautious and check their landing before moving sometimes find themselves given wings in this dream. Even if you fall, you have the strength to land on your feet.
