Psychology
An angel blowing a trumpet reflects wanting recognition, or wanting to announce something. It may come while awaiting results such as exams or promotion. A loud blast no one noticed may show frustration that your efforts go unseen.
Folklore and history
In the Book of Revelation, seven angels blow trumpets in turn, each unleashing great events on the world. In the West, the angel's trumpet is known as a herald of the end and of judgment, yet art also shows it announcing celebration and victory.

This site's view
In this site's view, recall how the people around you reacted. If everyone looked up joyfully, your good news can be shared. If only you heard it, the call is a personal milestone meant for you alone. The note of an ending and the note of a beginning sound from the same instrument.
Going deeper: our reading
In a dream of an angel blowing a trumpet, recall how the sound came to you. A bright, clear tone suggests long-awaited news, or a milestone where effort pays off, is near. A heavy, low tone may show your mind solemnly accepting a great turning point where an ending and a beginning overlap. In this site's reading, the number of angels is a clue too. One alone suggests change in your own life; many together may foretell change for your family or workplace. What you did matters as well. Walking towards the sound shows you are ready to move into change yourself; stopping to listen means you first need time to savour the transition inwardly. This is our speculation, but this dream may come before a new life begins, such as graduation, a new job or a move. The trumpet is a push forward.
