Psychology
Bee dreams reflect diligence and your role in a group, alongside wariness of being stung. A busy hive may mirror your own pace. How you felt about the bees shows your distance from others.
Folklore and history
In the folk tale Saru Kani Gassen, a bee helps avenge the crab, showing that small beings together can face a giant. In dream lore, a building hive means wealth and people gathering, while a sting warns of prickly relationships.
Somewhere between a flashlight and a headlamp in shape, with a roughly 300° beam angle suited to lighting up a whole wide space inside a ruin at once. It also has a hook, so you can hang it from a ceiling or pillar as an improvised standing light.

This site's view
In this site's view, did you belong among the swarm? Flying with it means you fill your role well; being chased means you are tired of fitting in. A single persistent bee points to one person's words that bother you.
Going deeper: our reading
A worker honeybee's sting is barbed, so when it stings a person it often cannot pull free, and the bee dies. For the bee, stinging carries a heavy price. In this site's reading, a dream of being stung reflects not only the pain of hearing harsh words but also the pain of saying them. Someone who has snapped at another person and been hurt by it even more may dream of bees. The scene changes the reading. Watching bees move among flowers suggests that your busy days are bearing fruit. A buzzing that never leaves your ear points to a vague worry or a nagging remark you cannot shake. This is our speculation, but dreaming that you were the bee and stung someone may mean you wanted to protect something and fear you went about it the wrong way.
What to do on waking

Turning a bad dream
In Japan, people once tried to turn a worrying dream for the better: a baku charm under the pillow, telling the dream to a nandina bush, or reciting an old dream-turning poem. Read the column on dream trading and dream-turning
