Psychology
An album arranges chosen moments from time, so it reflects a wish to look back and confirm your path. Fond viewing means comfort; missing pages, a period you avoid or a blank you cannot explain.
Folklore and history
Pasted photo albums long kept family history in Japanese homes, opened at moves, weddings and partings and handed down. In dreams they hint at old ties returning or a time to recall your roots.
Exploring a ruin in the rain, or a flooded underground facility or cave-type spot, calls for a way to keep your phone and small items dry. Rated to JIS IPX8 (about 30 minutes at 10m depth), this two-pocket case holds your phone alongside small items like keys and cash.

This site's view
In this site's view, the unsettling part is an unfamiliar photo. A scene you do not recall in your family album hints at something lost from memory, or an untold family story. Remember its air and season rather than fear it.
Going deeper: our reading
The photos in an album were chosen, ordered by someone. In many homes that was a parent or grandparent, and their gaze and hopes live in which moments they kept. In this site's reading, album dreams can appear when you begin to notice whose eyes your life story has been edited through. Turning the pages of an album your family made suggests you are receiving the gaze of those who watched over you. Mounting photos yourself shows a will to choose your own next chapter. Some people realise in the dream that they barely appear in the pictures. That may be the heart asking for kindness toward a self who has always held the camera and supported others. This is our speculation, but faded photos that brought back the air and smell of a day suggest the past has not drifted away; it has quietly become your foundation.
What to do on waking
Ask family or an old friend for one memory of you. Stories you have forgotten can fill a dream's blank.
