○ A mirror of the mind Read less as luck and more as a mirror of how you are now
A secret refuge or an emptiness within. A warm hollow means comfort; a dark, deep one points to feelings you have not faced.

Psychology
A hollow is both a small, sheltered space and the place where a tree has emptied out. It can mirror a wish for a safe refuge as well as a sense that something inside you is missing. Entering or just peering in shows how close you are to that feeling.
Folklore and history
Large hollows shelter birds and small animals, and folktales often make them homes for foxes, tanuki or spirits. Some even hold small shrines, as if the inside of a tree were a doorway for beings from beyond the human world.
Outdoor haunted spots in the mountains, old tunnels, and abandoned schools can see the weather turn fast, with sudden rain or strong wind. A wind-resistant, oversized umbrella lets you stay dry while still holding a flashlight or camera in one hand, and at 116cm across it can cover two people.

This site's view
In this site's view, recall what was inside. Childhood treasures or letters mean a chance to reclaim a self you nearly forgot. Only wind means it is time to notice a loneliness you have tried to fill. Glowing eyes or a voice suggest that even your hiding place holds something to face.
Going deeper: our reading
Tree hollows usually form as the heartwood slowly decays over many years. Trees can still live because the parts carrying water and nutrients and doing the growing lie mostly near the bark. In this site's reading, people who dream of a tree hollow often feel empty inside while, on the outside, they are still getting through each day. It may come during burnout or after losing something precious. Your movements matter. Merely peering in suggests you are starting to notice the emptiness. Curling up inside means you need to step back from the world and rest for now. Something emerging from it may announce that something new has been growing in that space. This is our speculation, but if the hollow felt surprisingly roomy, that emptiness may be space to welcome what comes next.
