Lord of the underworld: hidden riches, or power deep in the unconscious.
Category: World mythology (how to read this category)
Psychology
The lord of the underworld may represent the deep unconscious and the parts of yourself you avoid. Jung saw the unconscious as a treasury, not just a terror; meeting its king suggests you are touching hidden strength or feelings.
Folklore and history
Hades drew lots with Zeus and Poseidon and received the underworld. He took Persephone as queen; having eaten pomegranate seeds there, she must spend part of each year below. His other name, Plouton, means "the wealthy", linking him to riches in the earth.
A window net that fits over the car window, letting air in while keeping insects and prying eyes out. It lets you leave the window open without bugs getting in during a late-night car stay or stakeout, and also makes the interior harder to see from outside — good for security and privacy while parked or napping near a haunted spot for a long time.

This site's view
In this site's view, Hades was less a terror than a quiet keeper of order. If the king watched you calmly, buried talents or memories are ready to be unearthed; if something was taken, recall Persephone — letting go is how the seasons turn.
Going deeper: our reading
Hades was said to own a helmet that made its wearer invisible, and the gates of his realm were guarded by the three-headed dog Cerberus. He rarely appeared on earth and did not join the gatherings on Olympus; he was, in a sense, the unseen god. In this site's reading, people who dream of Hades are often spending long hours alone in thought, or carrying a grief they show no one. Wearing the helmet of invisibility suggests a growing wish to hide from others' eyes to protect yourself. Being blocked by Cerberus means your heart is not yet ready to approach old memories or what you have lost. Speaking quietly with the king of the dead shows you are preparing to make peace with someone gone or something ended. This is our speculation, but the unseen god may honour your quiet, unnoticed work.
What to do on waking
Recall one passion you abandoned long ago; buried treasure often lies in a forgotten self.

- The same dream again and again: something your mind has not settled yet
Ruins and haunted spots are full of things you'd rather not touch directly — dust, mold, dead pests, filth. A pair of nitrile gloves lets you check a door handle or something on the floor without direct contact, helping prevent infection or skin trouble.
