Psychology
A skyscraper dream can show both the pull of high goals and the fear of falling from them. Rising in a lift suggests steady growth; freezing at a rooftop edge shows fear of losing what you have gained. Whether you looked up or down changes everything.
Folklore and history
Tall buildings have long embodied human ambition; the Tower of Babel tells of people whose tower to heaven ended with their languages confused. In Japan, height joined prayer and authority, as in five-storey pagodas. Higher floors mean rising luck; a collapsing tower urges you to rethink plans.

This site's view
In this site's view, look at the view from the window. A clear, far-reaching view means you can picture life beyond your goal. Clouds hiding the ground may mean that, busy climbing, you are losing sight of daily life and the people close to you.
Going deeper: our reading
Each window lit at night in a skyscraper holds someone's time: a person working late, a person eating alone. From afar it looks glamorous, but life goes on quietly inside. In this site's reading, whether you looked up from outside or sat in one of its rooms changes how the dream feels about success. Gazing up suggests longing for a world still out of reach; looking out from inside may reveal the quiet loneliness of a place already won. A building under construction, its steel frame exposed, means you are still assembling your goal. This is our speculation, but if your ears popped as the lift rose, you may fear that the higher you climb, the harder it is to hear those around you. The floor you woke on is your heart's height now.
What to do on waking
Write down one goal and, beside it, the name of someone you want next to you when you reach it.

A glow-in-the-dark whistle that needs no battery to make a loud sound and call for help if you get lost or hurt in a ruin or the mountains. It also glows in the dark as a marker, standing in for a flashlight — a safety item for haunted-spot exploration.
