Psychology
Monkeys resemble people, so they reflect very human traits such as cunning or restlessness. A noisy troop may show fatigue with crowded relationships. Notice who the monkey resembled.
Folklore and history
In Japan monkeys serve the gods at shrines such as Hiyoshi Taisha, and their name puns on evil departing and winning. Nikko Toshogu's see-no-evil monkeys are famous, while folk tales like Saru Kani Gassen cast them as tricksters.
Getting to a haunted spot over mountain roads or unpaved surfaces makes a gravel- or nail-caused flat more likely. A compact compressor that runs off the cigarette lighter socket lets you top up air on the spot, and doubles for a spare tire, a bicycle, or a ball.

This site's view
In this site's view, what was the monkey imitating? Your gestures mean it is time to see your habits objectively; being robbed means someone is taking your credit or time. A monkey leaving for the hills means worries departing.
Going deeper: our reading
The Japanese macaque is said to live farther north than any other non-human primate, and images of these monkeys bathing in hot springs amid snow are known worldwide. Within the troop they often groom one another, parting each other's fur carefully, which keeps them clean and also confirms their bonds. In this site's reading, monkey dreams can show whether your relationships are being cared for. Monkeys grooming each other calmly suggest secure ties with people close to you. Watching from outside the circle may point to loneliness at always caring for others without being cared for. Japanese has a saying that even monkeys fall from trees; seeing one fall warns against carelessness in what you do best. This is our speculation, but soaking in warm water with monkeys may show a wish to relax and share time with companions.
