Plans and self-management. A full planner means a busy, rich life; losing it shows fear of an unclear future.

Psychology
A planner divides time and manages the future, so it reflects your sense of control. A packed one shows richness but no slack; losing it, fear of plans collapsing; vanishing entries, powerlessness.
Folklore and history
In Japan many people choose next year's planner at year-end, and switching planners becomes a small ritual of renewal. A new planner in a dream hints at a fresh start or goal.
For scouting and reading maps before a haunted-spot visit, or checking direction in mountain areas or around a ruin where it's easy to get turned around.

This site's view
In this site's view, the blank day matters. One empty day among many is your heart asking for rest; an unknown plan in your own hand may be a forgotten wish trying to claim time.
Going deeper: our reading
A planner records more than appointments: the messiness of your handwriting, doodles in the margins. Looking back, the busiest weeks are often scrawled, and they bring back how you felt. In this site's reading, planner dreams can appear when you are rereading your life as an emotional record, not just a schedule. Opening last year's or a much older planner may mean something is left to settle with a past self. Pencilled plans fading away suggest wavering over promises you have not firmly made. Peeking into someone else's planner can read as anxiety about whether there is room for you in their days. This is our speculation, but when doodles in the margins stay with you, the mind may be saying your real wishes hide in the gaps between plans. Look at the blank spaces too.

In Japan, people once tried to turn a worrying dream for the better: a baku charm under the pillow, telling the dream to a nandina bush, or reciting an old dream-turning poem. Read the column on dream trading and dream-turning
